Families are quids in at Bridport Electric Palace this Easter.

The entertainment venue in South Street is screening a programme of classic family films, with tickets at just £1 to see each one. Drinks, popcorn and ice creams will also be £1.

The movies will be shown on the market days of Easter Saturday 4 April, Wednesday 8 April and Saturday 11 April.

The films being shown on Easter Saturday are Winnie the Pooh at 10.30am, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at 12.30pm, when there will be scrumptious treats available, and Tales of Beatrix Potter at 2.30pm, in which performers from The Royal Ballet take the parts of the characters from the classic books.

On the following Wednesday April 8 there will be a selection of modern classics from the Disney Studio which include The Lego Movie at 10.30am, Planes Fire and Rescue at 12.30pm and Toy Story at 2.30pm.

On the last Saturday of the Easter holidays, April 11, Monsters Inc. will kick off the day at 10.30am before the two family classics, Aladdin at 12.30pm and Lady and the Tramp at 2.30pm.

There’s no need to book in advance. People just arrive 30 minutes before the start of each filmto buy their tickets.
