Family Pay Tribute Following Tragic Loss of Luke in North Dorset Collision

The family of a man who sadly died in a fatal road traffic collision near Gillingham have issued a heartfelt tribute to their loved one.

Dorset Police received a report at 2.23pm on Friday, 20 March 2026, of a collision on the B3092 in the area of Milton-on-Stour north of Gillingham, involving a silver Peugeot 308 and a black Triumph motorcycle.

Emergency services attended and very sadly, the motorcyclist – 32-year-old Luke Davis – was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is continuing to be supported by specially-trained officers.

The family has issued the following tribute: “Luke, was a much loved son, brother, friend and uncle.

“He was a passionate biker, and he was full of adventure.

“He loved his family and friends and was loyal to a fault.

“Everyone who knew him, even if it was only briefly, would remember him for his fierce adherence to fairness, truth and most of all, fun.

“He was a wonderful addition to everyone’s life, and he enjoyed every moment. We all miss him with every breath, and will, forevermore.”

Officers are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of the collision and are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage if they have not already spoken to police.
