The term ‘woke’ which in itself is a positive term if one is open minded and decent, but is meant as a derogatory term if one is ignorant and a c*** is now being used to criticise fantasy programmes using black or brown people in positions of power and authority. Never mind the dragons and all the other fictional content but when it comes to people they perceive as inferior to them suddenly they go all nazi.
As Medhi Hasan and Ayman Mohyeldin identify instead of just watching a fantasy programme that they chose to indulge in they have to make a lot of irrational white noise about the casting.
Trolls are slamming TV shows like “House of the Dragon” as ‘woke’ and ‘unbelievable’ if they dare to include POC or LGBTQ characters:
“These people are totally fine with watching and believing in elves and wizards and dragons, but not Black people onscreen”.
Personally I pity them because their lives are so sh** that they spend most of their days scapegoating and trying to make themselves feel better better by bullying and being bigoted.
Just as sad is that they are just as likely to be woke as anyone else because their intelligence under pressure is so limited:
Thus they become full on hypocrites.
The key is to refrain from using such terms and be a much more extensive reader
