Building over the next few weekends and culminating into an expansive programme during the summer holidays, FCL! has been designed to celebrate live music, dance, performance and culture, across the area.
On Saturday and Sunday, you can discover a line-up of pop up musical and street entertainment performances in the Bournemouth Lower Gardens, Town Square and Pier Approach. Over in Poole head to the Quay, Lower High Street and Baiter Park and in Christchurch the Quomps and Saxon Square host the town’s planned entertainment on Saturday.
This weekend includes walkabout theatre, comedy, dance and music with The Pram, Black Cherry, Mr Eversley, Amy Hooplovin’, Flow States, Geegay, Hush Club, Mother Ukers Ukulele Band, Natural Theatre Company and Buffos Wake – all part of the FCL! funded Arts By the Sea Summer Programme. You can also enjoy Steamship Circus’s Pick and Play Workshops, Giant Butterflies and Showgirl Stilt Walkers*.
Marvellous Markets will once again be in Poole with additional FCL! musical entertainment and you can see the Grid in Baiter Park. And for a little bit of relaxation enjoy the Pedigree Jazz Band in the Lower Gardens Bandstand.
Fun and performances start in each town from 2pm and continue into the early evening*.
As a supplementary part of our FCL! programme there will be the Wimbledon Screen in the Lower Gardens, broadcasting all the live action and highlights during the day and evening.
With much more entertainment scheduled as we approach the summer holidays it’s a chance for everyone to enjoy the south coast lifestyle, with FCL! promising to showcase what makes the BCP area and its communities so special for people who live, visit, holiday, and work here.

“Everyone is working incredibly hard to create a diverse and lively programme of pop up entertainment and activities showcasing a mix of local talent and its ‘fringe’ style will take people to a wider spread of popular locations. All performances are operating within the current government guidelines. As COVID measures gradually relax the programme will develop even further.
“We are proud to be a diverse resort, looking for ways to give residents and visitors that little bit extra and Festival Coast Live! will do just this, As part of the Council’s ‘bounce back plans, it’s a way to get things moving again fast – to support businesses, jobs and local talent.”
