·        Some residents were allowed back briefly to collect belongings.  This was carefully controlled through a sign-in and out procedure.

·        Site remains very dangerous and access is not permitted.

·        Overnight accommodation for a further two nights has been made for those residents who are unable to make their own arrangements.

Across the Borough

·         We have had teams out & about checking risk areas throughout the weekend on a 24 hour basis.  This includes visually monitoring river levels, flows and flooding; alerting householders to risks and liaising with residents to assess risk to property; deploying sandbags to protect property; implementing road closures where necessary; and dealing with fallen trees

Generally

·        Please stay away from the river Stour, do not attempt to access riverside walks or go anywhere near the river as it remains a threat to safety.

·        Please don’t go to have a look at flooding – this is a risk to your personal safety and could endanger others

·        Please do not attempt to drive through flood water, even if it appears passable

·        Please respect road closures
