As part of the Artsreach autumn programme, audiences across Dorset can enjoy an evening of classical guitar music from around the world by former Young Musician of the Year Semi-Finalist Michael Hulmes.

Michael started playing classical guitar at the age of eleven and four years later, won a scholarship to attend the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. After graduating he continued his guitar studies with John Mills at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and has since performed on BBC1 and 2, ITV and BBC Radio Wales. Over the years, Michael has participated in masterclasses with performers including John Williams, Nigel North, David Russell, Paul Galbraith and many more.

These special autumn concerts for Artsreach will feature a mix of Baroque, South-American and more contemporary classical guitar music from England, Spain, Japan, Paraguay & the USA. The programme will include works by Dowland, Bach, Torroba, York, Yocoh, Villa-Lobos, Barrios and Lindsey-Clark. Enjoy a programme of exceptional classical music in the intimate setting of a rural village hall this October.
