Four males sought following collision in Sherborne

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a collision in Sherborne where the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene.

Dorset Police received a report at around 10.05pm on Thursday 3 February 2022 that a grey Peugeot 407 had collided with the wall of Sherborne International in Newell near to the junction with Marston Road.

It is reported that four young male occupants left the vehicle and ran off in the direction of Richmond Road.

Officers attended and carried out a search of the area, assisted by the NPAS helicopter, but nobody was located.

Police Inspector Steve Hughes, of Dorset County Local Policing Area, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision and has not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“I would also urge anyone with information about the identity of those who fled the vehicle to please get in touch.

“Finally, if you have captured anything of relevance on dashcam or home CCTV, please contact Dorset Police.”
