Four teenage boys have been charged and are due to appear in court in connection with a reported assault in Poole.

Sometime between 7.30pm and 8pm on Saturday 28 December 2019 an alleged altercation occurred near Subway outside the Dolphin Centre. A man was reportedly assaulted by a group of teenagers.

The victim – a Bournemouth man aged in his 40s – sustained injuries to his face and a fractured jaw that required surgery.

Four teenage boys were arrested in connection with the incident. Following enquiries, a 17-year-old boy from Poole and a 16-year-old boy from Bournemouth have been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm.

A 15-year-old boy from Poole has been charged with assault and criminal damage and a 13-year-old boy from Poole has been charged with assault.

All four are due to appear at Poole Youth Court on Tuesday 26 May 2020.
