Free Parenting App Available For All Parents Of Young Children In Dorset

Families will now have parenting advice for 0-5-year-olds in their back pocket thanks to the new EasyPeasy app, which Dorset Council is making available to all residents.

The EasyPeasy app, which will support parents, carers, and early years practitioners of babies and children aged 0-5-year-olds across the area, will transform everyday parenting moments into playful learning activities.

EasyPeasy brings together the best ideas, advice, and inspiration from a diverse community of parents, experts, and brands into one trusted resource that will support families and their 0-5-year-olds during the crucial early years.

Parents can access thousands of simple, fun, and educational parenting tips and activities, tailored to their child’s age and development stage, designed to use everyday materials that families already have access to at home.

The app includes information, activities, and tips on a range of topics, including

  • Wellbeing
  • Bedtime
  • Nutrition
  • Speech and language
  • Mindfulness.

The EasyPeasy app also allows parents and carers to create and share their own parenting tips and experiences, building peer-to-peer support systems in local communities.

Councillor Clare Sutton, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, Education and Skills, said, “This is part of our ongoing commitment to make sure our children have the best start in life and that they reach school age ready to meet their full potential.

“We know that the first five years of a child’s life are really crucial in their development, so we want to do all we can to help parents and carers give their children the best start in life.

“Those early years are a time of great change with lots of new skills to learn and challenges for those who look after our youngest children, so I am really pleased to see such a great resource being made available to everyone in the Dorset Council area for free.”

Residents can download the EasyPeasy app from the App Store or the Google Play store on their mobile devices now and enjoy free, premium access as part of this partnership. More information is available on the Dorset Council website or via our Family Hubs.
