This October, Dorset Wildlife Trust is once again offering its free Will writing service to its 25,000 members.

The free Will service is for members wishing to make a simple Will or update an existing one. There is absolutely no obligation to leave a gift to Dorset Wildlife Trust for this service, but wewould be honoured if our members will support the future of wildlife in Dorset in this way.

To enable important conservation work to continue, Dorset Wildlife Trust relies on 25% of its work being funded through gifts in Wills.

During this uncertain time, reliance on legacy gifts has become even more important as Dorset Wildlife Trust starts to recover from the serious impact Covid-19 has had on income since April 2020. Free Wills month is a vital part of our fundraising to help make us resilient once again, whilst being able to offer our loyal members an important free service.

Dorset Wildlife Trust’s Chief Executive, Brian Bleese, said, “Our annual free Will writing service is a great opportunity to support wildlife where you live for the future.  This service helps raise awareness of how vital legacy fundraising is and what a significant part it plays in conserving Dorset’s precious wildlife. For our members who decide to use this service and leave a gift to DWT, no matter how large or small, comfort can be taken in knowing that their legacy will help Dorset’s wildlife for many years to come.”

Battens, Ellis Jones, Kitson & Trotman and Humphries Kirk are taking part in this service across selected branches in Dorset.

Laura Stapes, Partner and Head of Private Client for Humphries Kirk, said, “The Humphries Kirk Private Client Department is delighted to support Dorset Wildlife Trust again this year. The Coronavirus lockdown enhanced all of our focus on the beautiful countryside we have on our doorsteps and the importance of protecting the wildlife in it. Our teams across Dorset and Somerset are very experienced advisors on Wills, tax planning, trusts and later life issues. We look forward to assisting you.”
