We have been waiting for this moment for a very long time. We long suspected it. In fact, we knew it. The problem was that we had to actually catch one of them saying it. Now we have it.

From Britain First to Reform UK to Restore Britain, any of these far-right entities secretly and not so secretly want the country to fall apart to enable the fascists to just take over. And if the country does not fall apart, they make up lie after lie to convince many people that it has.
Since Keir Starmer took over in the summer of 2024, they have been on the offensive as if fourteen years of Tory austerity and ineptitude never happened. This was their chance to convince the masses that Labour alone was responsible for crumbling public services and destroyed communities. The reality for anyone whose cerebral cortex is still attached is, of course, very different. But the appeal to those where it isn’t is sadly persuasive.

Don’t let them convince us that they are right. They are wrong. They lie. They bully. They are ignorant. They do not care about facts. They are dangerous.
