Government in ‘big trouble’ as support for their Brexit hits record equalling low

Many commentators are quietly saying that the UK government is using Covid-19 to protect itself from the shambolic way they have handled Brexit. Other commentators are saying that the government is using brexit to cover for the shambolic way they have handled the Covid-19 pandemic. Either way it is fair to say that at the moment both are tearing the country apart and the government appears to be impersonating a plastered chef whose kitchen is on fire.

The most recent data of how the UK population perceive Tory Brexit reveals that it has plummeted to 38% with 50% against and 12% undecided. It shows the support for Tory Brexit is at an equal-record low, and the gap between people saying Tory Brexit was wrong and people saying it was right is at its largest since YouGov began tracking this data in August 2016.

To cover one thing for another usually requires one to be better. At present the UK population have two bad outcomes and therefore the government is floundering. Given that the problems of both Tory Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic are not going to significantly improve any time soon the UK public only have negative outcomes and complete government mismanagement to look forward to.

How do the government get from day to day?
