‘Group of people’ seen running away from vandalism incident in the centre of Bridport

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after a vehicle was damaged in Bridport.

The incident occurred at around 2.15am on Sunday 26 September 2021. The windscreen of a vehicle parked on East Street was smashed. 

It is reported that a group of people were seen running away from the area in the direction of South Street.

Police Constable Neil Gauden, of Bridport police, said: “This reckless damage has a significant impact on the victim and we are carrying out enquiries to identify who was responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, or saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area, to please come forward.

“I would also urge local residents and businesses to please check their CCTV systems for any footage that may assist my investigation.”
