Richard Durrant is not only a world class, virtuoso guitarist, he is a creative force and his Christmas shows are amongst his most exceptional. With the evocative and wintry sound of early music from Christian, pagan and folk traditions as well as many wonderfully distinctive Durrant originals, these unique concerts have become a much loved part of Christmas for audiences throughout the UK, and this winter Artsreach are pleased to present Richard at no less than five rural venues across Dorset.
Joining Richard for these concerts is Amy Kakoura, a singer with Greek Irish roots and an indescribably stunning voice. Richard and Amy arrive in the County following a sell-out Christmas tour last year. Whether they are performing the oldest songs in the Oxford Book of Carols or duetting on Fairytale of New York, this is a show of surprises and midwinter charm and a guaranteed highlight of the Artsreach winter programme.
