Healthwatch Dorset are holding a week of events in North Dorset from 4th June to find out more about local health & care services.

Joyce Guest, Chair of Healthwatch Dorset, explains: “We’re planning a week full of events to promote Healthwatch in North Dorset. We’ll be out talking to local people about health & care services to find out what works well and what doesn’t. If you live in North Dorset, please tell us what you think of GP services, care homes, dentistry, mental health, home care & your local hospitals at any of our events or on social media using #HWDRoadshow”.

Healthwatch Dorset works with local people to discover what’s really going on in health and care services across the county.  They offer free independent information to help you find your way through the system and use your feedback to influence the way local services are provided.

Over the last year Healthwatch Dorset has made improvements to the local NHS complaints system, visited care homes, worked with children & young people to gather their feedback, and carried out a volunteer led mystery shopper project to find out more about local access to GP services.
