Help ‘Help Are Own’ go viral

You may have seen in the news that a number of Afghan families who have managed to leave the country have been housed in Essex, and after discussing the situation today with some work colleagues it is clear that these people are going to need help in a number of different ways.

Naturally I have promised to help them in any way that I can using a particular set of skills that I possess, and so I am raising money for an organisation called Community Agents Essex – they are going to be ‘on the ground’ making sure that these extremely vulnerable adults and their children have everything that they need to start a new life over here with comfort and with dignity. The service is delivered via a voluntary sector partnership that involves The Rural Community Council Of Essex, and so any funds raised here will be distributed via them.

Thanks for your help with this, and I am sorry to be tapping you all up again so soon after ‘The Flying Farage,’ but this situation is double urgent as you can imagine.

Even if you can’t donate, please share far and wide.

Thanks, Simon.
