Join Bournemouth’s Not Just Travel for the best view of Bournemouth Air Show and help raise £50k for charity Mind.

The team will be hosting a special charity day at Aruba Bar on Bournemouth sea front on Thursday August 29, with every single penny raised going to the charity Mind.

Raising the money is especially important to Not Just Travel co-founder Steve Witt. His brother and business partner Robin was recently diagnosed with rapid onset frontal temporal dementia aphasia at only 42. This very rare dementia means Robin, a father of two young children, not only has dementia but quickly lost the ability to communicate.

Steve said they had chosen to support Mind because they ‘helped so many people’ – the charity states that one in four people will experience a mental health issue each year.

Steve said: “Mental health is one of those things that people often suffer in silence – Robin didn’t say anything. Mind help so many people and that’s why we chose to support them. Robin loves the Air Show and the beach so it’s quite fitting that we hold this event and encourage people to join us. It’s going to be a fun day to raise money for an amazing cause.

“We’d urged everyone – businesses and Air Show fans to come and join us. You can have the best view of the Air Show, a great fun day out and know that 100% of all the money from the day will go to this outstanding charity.”

Supporters will get the best view of the iconic Air Show, free welcome drinks and food, as well as entertainment and free entry into the Grand Prize Draw. The lucky winner will get a holiday to Canada with flights and accommodation included and a trip on the famous glass topped train. Other prizes include accommodation at some very famous hotels and other adventures kindly donated by Not Just Travel’s travel operators and partners. The charity day is part of the company’s pledge to raise £50k for the mental health charity this year – in October, 53 travel consultants will be trekking to the Lost City in Columbia on the charity mission.

Not Just Travel has pledged to raise £50,000 for the charity in Robin’s name. Steve said he had been ‘honoured and humbled’ by the support their charity mission had received so far.
