High street shop Fat Face is kindly making a donation to Dorset Wildlife Trust (DWT) using a portion of their profits taken from sales in their Bournemouth store between 21st– 28thNovember 2016.

DWT has been selected as part of their ‘thanks for giving’ initiative, where instead of black Friday discounting, the company is donating to 225 charities local to their store. The charities are chosen by their staff, and DWT is delighted to be included.

Tom Lloyd, Assistant Store Manager for Fat Face in Bournemouth said, “Fat Face wants to make a change to the high street and turn Black Friday into something that gives back to the local area. Dorset Wildlife Trust is a great charity and works hard to keep Dorset one of the most beautiful places in the UK. This is perfect for Fat Face as we encourage people to get outside and exploring, and design products for people with an active lifestyle. We hope all our customers can get behind us and DWT and support this really positive initiative.”

Corporate Development Officer, Sally Cooper said, “At DWT we are so pleased to have been selected as a charity to receive a donation from Fat Face. We think it’s a great idea to give something back to the local community. In Dorset, we are fortunate enough to be able to see lovely landscapes and wildlife habitat on a daily basis and DWT is always working hard to protect these wild sites for the benefit of wildlife and enjoyment of people. Donations like this help us massively and we’re very grateful.”

The Bournemouth Fat Face store is located on Bournemouth High Street, 71-73 Old Christchurch Road, BH1 1EW.

There are lots of opportunities for local businesses to support DWT.  The Corporate membership scheme includes many benefits including half price membership for staff members, corporate volunteering opportunities, wildlife walks and talks and expert conservation advice.  Visit www.dorsetwildlifetrust.org.uk/Corporate_Membership or contact Sally Cooper on 01305 264620 ([email protected]) to find out more.
