I am a Leaver but Tory Brexit strategy denies us hope

This report reveals the current EU in all its ghastly detail:

Corporate lobbying and the upcoming German EU Presidency

It is well worth a read to identify exactly who is running the show. One group who definitely are not are the public of the member countries. This is a classic oligarchical control structure in which the hundreds of millions of people who live in it are a political inconvenience.

It makes for a very depressing read if one is a ardent Remainer and appears to validate many of the concerns for those who have all along said ‘get the hell out’

As a Leaver none of this is a surprise. The EU is about a small number of wealthy and influential people and the rest are given the leftovers. From farming subsidies to education the money is controlled by power and authority not by the vast majority. It is a bureaucracy that undermines democracy not enhances it.

However, as a Leaver I am as concerned at the current government strategy as anything in the EU. It has become a tribal reductionism in which the same very wealthy powerful people will pull the same strings as they always have and we the public will fight each other over a lie. Actually not a lie but lots of lies.

These lies are best uncovered by those who have dedicated themselves to the investigations:

Brexit will have soon cost the UK more than all its payments to the EU over the past 47 years put together

What we have here is merely a small sample of how the current Conservative government have duped the population and used Brexit tribalism to split the nation. Their rhetoric of unifying the public is no more than abject nonsense. Very rich people are getting much richer out of this Brexit and they will do whatever it takes to maximise their own personal wealth and hold on to power.

This symbolises the impact on the UK population like no other.

The leaving the EU strategy I would like to see is one of honesty. It is one in which the UK population can choose from actual facts disclosed for us to make honest decisions.

It is one in which the economy is designed to serve us all and democracy is built as an integral ingredient.

It is one in which we are not aping the EU’s corporate incestuousness.

It is one in which tribalism is replaced by well meaning, socially aware people who seek to unite and build something truly great that we can be proud of.

The current incarnation is so far removed from this place that future generations will almost certainly back track and undo a referendum result that should have been the beginning of a new and exciting journey for us all and not this nightmare.
