National Poverty Hearing 2006 at Westminster. A one-day National Poverty Hearing in Central Hall Westminster, held on Wednesday 6 December 2006, for up to 500 senior politicians, high-profile/influential policy makers and opinion formers in the media and public life and national and grassroots anti-poverty/civil society groups from across the United Kingdom.

Polly, we need a leader and a party who ???????????????????????????????????? oppose the government and their legislation. Starmer and the frontbench have failed to mobilise against the NHS bill, the Police bill, the Covert Intelligence bill, the list goes on and on (there are so many instances of a lack of opposition that it’s impossible to list them all).

At the same time as failing to take on the government, Starmer has attacked long-term members of the party such as Jeremy Corbyn and anyone who shows solidarity with him. And now he’s nodded through the proscription of four groups. How can we fight the government when we are being led by someone who spends all their time fighting us?
