I work in the Spa industry where men grab my vagina

It’s come to light that not many realise what actually goes on in my industry and that I’ve shocked a few people.
Myself and others that work in the Industry know it’s a daily occurrence and part of the job.

So I thought I would share to see if it is really as shocking. As for me it’s just part of my job.

I work in the beauty and Spa industry. Just recently have been laughed at, despite it being a multimillion female led industry.

I work in an industry where we have rape alarms in our treatment rooms and told from colleagues expect sexual harassment it goes with the job!! It’s common place. Here is just a sample of the stuff that I face daily.

Wonderful nut juice deposits left behind! Or walking back in the room to them relieving themselves.
The comment of what are you going to do about that, while pointing to their erection.
The grabbing of your vagina while your at hip height massaging them. When you make a comment. “Oh it’s just an accident”.
The comments of “I’m only here to relax, non of this hanky panky stuff, I’m married”. Dude that wasn’t even on the table but thanks for suggesting I’m a prostitute with all the stigma that’s attached to that.
The comment of “do you do extras” and can I be naked?”
The comment of “your not that bad looking too, can I have your number, I’d like to repeat this but also give you a good rub down too, wink wink”
The “I’m cold and I’m about to be naked. I know your hot in those clothes. I won’t mind if you take something off”.
Or I’m ready for you while laying suggestively on the couch.

And do you know what. We can’t even say fuck off you creep! We have to stay professional and smile sweetly and laugh it off. Because don’t upset the customer. The customer is always right!

The worst experience for me which doesn’t even scratch the surface. Is management not calling the police because an 18 year old girl was assaulted. “It’s ok because he has absconded and he has been black listed. He won’t return here!”
“No we didn’t call the police because she didn’t want to because it’s her word against his.”
I mean she is 18, she can make that choice.
So to make her feel safe we are just gonna let her work as a double in the couples room, rather than alone.
Rather than support her in giving her strength to report it.
Its to be expected in this job.
It’s not all men no! But it happens everyday and it shouldn’t.

It’s physical contact after all! We are taught that Men can’t help their urges. It’s primal. If you touch them below their belly button or on their thighs they will get an erection it’s an automatic response. There’s a magic triangle!

The industry isn’t unionised and it’s low paid. However it is heavily supported by young girls in the work force that are too frightened to speak out. The upper levels have also lived through it themselves and it’s just part of the job.
No one speaks out because we essentially have to sign NDA’s and no bad mouthing on social media for fear of losing our jobs.

It’s not ok!!! If I’m not even safe in my work place. Can you understand why I’m scared to walk alone at night.
