A message circulating online is encouraging recipients of unsolicited political leaflets from the racist and elitist Reform UK to take a small but pointed form of action. The post suggests that any junk mail received from Reform UK Ltd can be returned to the sender using a Freepost address at a cost to the party of around £2.50 per item.
Framed as a “civic duty,” the message plays on growing frustration with unrequested political marketing landing on doormats across the country. While it stops short of issuing a direct call to action, the implication is clear: if enough people return the materials, the cumulative cost could mount quickly, especially for a party sliding in the polls and funded by billionaires.
Such tactics are not new. FreePost systems are commonly used by organisations to encourage responses, but they can also leave senders footing the bill for unwanted returns. Critics of mass leaflet campaigns argue they are wasteful and intrusive.
Whether seen as harmless mischief or a form of low-level protest, the suggestion reflects a broader irritation with modern campaigning from a party known for its rancid behaviour.
