Images released of group who assaulted boy in Christchurch

Detectives investigating a reported attempted robbery offence in Christchurch are renewing their appeal for information and issuing CCTV images of three people they would like to identify.

Dorset Police was called at 10.13pm on Sunday 24 July 2022 to reports of an attempted robbery that occurred in the area of Dragoon Way. 

A 14-year-old boy was approached by an unknown group of people and demands were made for his mobile phone. During the incident the victim sustained a stab wound to his leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries that were not life-changing or life-threatening. 

Officers attended the scene and carried out a search of the area, but no one was located.

Detective Constable Jonathan Siebert, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and have conducted a number of enquiries.

“I am now in a position to release CCTV images of three people we would like to identify as part of our investigation.

“I would urge anyone with information relating to their identity to please come forward.”
