Incompetent UK government = Death

Official government Coronavirus advice up until the 12th March was that it was “very unlikely that people receiving care in care homes will become infected”.  Yet now care homes are described by the NHS Confederation as “where the major battle with Covid-19 is now raging”.

The reason for this dramatic change was explained by a cardiologist, quoted in the Daily Telegraph.

“We discharged known, suspected and unknown cases into care homes, which were unprepared, with no formal warning that the patient was infected, no testing available and no PPE (personal  protection equipment)  to prevent transmission.”

“We actively seeded this into the very population that was most vulnerable.”

This is just part of the dire list of government Coronavirus failures. Failure to deliver testing and thus any control of the virus,  repeated and ongoing failure to protect NHS staff through the total shambles of PPE delivery,  plus the totally unprecedented political interference in supposedly independent scientific pandemic advice!

The only country with more Coronavirus deaths is America, under a president who suggested  injected poisonous disinfectant as a solution for the Virus!

Despite the example of other countries, ahead of us in the virus infection cycle, under this government, at least 34,500+ have died, the highest in Europe. The government’s feeble, desperately excuse is that countries cannot be compared.

Yet the hard, indisputable  fact is that in no other European country was the Coronavirus response so incompetently managed. No other European country has over 34,500 deaths!  Britain is regarded with pity by other countries, well aware of our government’s mismanagement.

NHS and care homes death are both down to governmental incompetence!

Now they plan implementing Brexit, negotiating US and EU trade deals.  We are in huge trouble, if their Coronavirus performance is any indication. I would not trust them with shopping in a supermarket, let alone a trade deal!
