An investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Poole – with one man arrested.

At 5.39am on Sunday 6 December 2020 officers received a report from the ambulance service of a sudden death of a 44-year-old woman from Poole at an address in Cashmoor Close.

The cause of death is currently unexplained. Her next of kin have been informed and the coroner notified.

A 46-year-old Poole man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is helping officers with their enquiries.

Detective Inspector Wayne Seymour, of the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT), said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends.

“At this time it is not clear what the cause of the death is, but we are following all lines of enquiry and a detailed investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances.

“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area and may have important information to assist my investigation to please get in touch.”
