It is one of those times when there is absolutely no sympathy for either party. Matthew Hancock and Isabel Oakeshott are both rancid. I would not trust either of them to tell me if it was day or night let alone what this monstrous Tory party get up to during a crisis.
Oakeshott is part of the so called libertarian right that wants small government and more vulnerable people not being able to pay for essential services and therefore suffering and dying in much greater numbers. Admittedly the Tories do their best but the Oakeshott way would be even more catastrophic.
Thus when it came to being questioned about why as a journalist she betrayed her client and then got paid by the Torygraph, another well known libertarian propaganda machine, she became super defensive and then shut off the interview. So much for one of the central tenets of libertarianism i.e. being accountable for your actions.
“I’m going to terminate the interview, this is my last warning … I’ve not come on here to justify where the story was placed or how I chose to go about that.”

And this:
It is not often that both protagonists are so universally unpopular but in these mad times we have to get used to absolutely anything.
