Kath from Yorkshire does not read and it tells

The Tories and Starmer’s Labour are in the words of Pete Docherty ‘purgatory and happy families.’ They are ‘one and the same’ ‘but they are not supposed to be the same’. What we have is an establishment fix to cover all bases should the electorate tire of one of them.

This is depressing enough of course to those people who believe that free will is what it says on the tin. It is impossible to have free will of any consequence if the game is loaded by dark forces out of our reach.

It takes a sense of realisation to reach this empirical conclusion. One that has a semblence of interest in reality and is prepared to analyse and evaluate existence. However, there are some who still believe the Tories and Labour are markedly different.

Meet Kath.

Kath is from West Yorkshire and she has always voted Conservative but like Rod Stewart is sick to teeth of them now. However, unlike Rod Stewart she is not prepared to change her vote for fear of a Labour government. Kath still believes that the Labour Party will ruin the country because it is controlled by the trade unions. The same trade unions, it must be remembered, that mostly despise the Labour leader Keir Starmer and the same unions that have won most of the things Kath relies upon.

What might Kath’s excuse be?

Well interestingly we must celebrate her honesty at this point.

“I don’t read anything! Are you deaf?”. Now that is a wonderful defense for being so wrong. It is not that she reads the billionaire corporate media propaganda and sounds like this. No! It is because she doesn’t read ANYTHING!

As you can imagine this has stimulated some of the the public’s imaginations and some have unleashed their reading on Kath.

One even quotes Albert Einstein:

Now I am almost certain that if Albert was still with us he would not perceive the current Labour party as an opportunity to change things much. If anything Starmer and his establishment stooges have made Labour much more Kath friendly, just like Tony Blair did.

Poor old Kath has made herself a bit of a minor celebrity. By parroting the line that she does not read she could almost be a fully fledged one.

Anyway the lesson here is:

  1. Try to avoid political and democratic participation if you boast of not reading.
  2. If you do read, question it and consider it by utilising various sources. Never just believe ever, until the facts are lined up.
  3. If you are similar to Kath ask someone to hide your phone from you, especially during day time hours.

How many Kath’s will there be queuing up to stretch their capabilities by drawing a cross for the ballot box at future elections?

This is the most scary thought.
