Keep Your Speed Down on Country Lanes and Bends

For those of you who use the lanes in the area, I met these young people learning to ride their ponies on the road near Broadoak yesterday, the road was fairly wide with good visiblity into the distance BUT………..had this been on a much narrower lane with overhanging trees making it darker than normal and you go round a bend doing maybe 40 mph, imagine what could have happened!!!

I have a personal rule when using the lanes, never to go faster than 25 mph, and if the visiblity is bad, a lot less, so please be aware, and drive slowly along the lanes.
Cyclists, both motor and pedal, walkers, children, a parked vehicle, ANYthing could be round that bend.

Thanks
