Guess what Kemi Badenoch’s dad did for an occupation? Yep, he was a G.P. Guess what his nationality was? Yep, he was Nigerian.
Last week she denounced her Nigerian heritage and announced she would ban doctors from striking (although I suspect she does not mean those in the private sector).
She is prepared to trash her heritage and her father’s background and at the same time expects respect from the public. As leader of the current-day Tory party, she has no principles. She is an opportunist who rats on her past to score political points.
If we hone in on part of what she said, we find that a person who seeks £22 an hour should be prevented from striking. Probably one of the most important jobs when ranked by the public should receive a small fraction of what a plumber and a corporate lawyer can earn, with the latter being way down the public priority list.

We all know the Tories will jettison Badenoch sooner rather than later, and certainly before the next election. Whether they will find anyone who can invoke excitement in the electorate is, of course, very unlikely, especially if they are willing to betray their family and their history so readily.
