Officers are appealing for information after a series of break-ins and attempted break-ins at food kiosks in West Bay over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

It was reported that two kiosks were broken into during the early hours of Sunday 29 August 2021, with cash and electronic items stolen, and there was also believed to have been an attempt to break into a third unit.

Two further break-ins were reported on the night of Monday 30 August into the early hours of Tuesday 31 August 2021, with cash stolen as well as a mobile phone and other items.

Police Constable Matthew Barrett, of West Dorset police, said: “We appreciate these incidents have caused considerable inconvenience to local traders and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to identify who is responsible.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area over the Bank Holiday weekend, or who has any information that might assist our investigation, to please come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55210139482.
