I am now acting as Campaign Organiser of the Labour Party. A large number of Labour Party Members, decided to join together in the Town Centre on a cold Saturday morning, to campaign in a fight to get Theresa May to Care more about our NHS and Social Care Services.

Weymouth and Portland Borough Councillor and Leader of The Labour Group, Colin Huckle said ” We had some very interesting conversations regarding the crisis facing The NHS from people worried about the future of Westhaven, young children being discharged from hospital in the middle of very cold nights, to difficulty getting G.P. appointments at some of our surgeries. These are all signs of the current financial issues being faced by our local services. We still have more drastic cuts to come for Local Authorities which will cause further delays to dealing with Adult and Social Care. Schools are being faced with cuts to their budgets which were supposed to be protected. The NHS. is being starved of sufficient funds which will mean fewer G. P. Surgeries, more travelling for very sick patients to Bournemouth and Poole for urgent treatment.”
