About 2 months ago I applied for a job at a company called USC, but what I didn’t realise at the time is that they are owned by sports direct, and if I new that I would not of applied due to having an extremely bad experience of previously working for them…anyway, I got a reply from USC yesterday and this is what they said…..
“Further to your recent application we are pleased to inform you that you have been selected for interview for the position of Casual Sales Assistant on (no details were given)
Your interview will take place at Address:Westwey House, Westwey RoadPostcode/City:DT4 8TG Weymouth
Sports Direct.Com
(Here is the laughable bit)
This role has no guaranteed hours of work, hours of work can therefore vary from week to week and, as a result, there may be weeks when no hours of work are offered.

Well now, considering that this government want to get as many people into work as they can, they are not doing anything to help by letting such a terrible company as Sports Direct do interviews at the bloody local JOB CENTRE for ZERO HOUR CONTRACTS!! Plus, I thought I would see how easy it was to apply for this job, only to find out that I couldn’t apply through the link they sent me because I had no log in details and I could not apply as a new person. I thought this was weird, so I tried to phone Weymouth jobcentre as the interviews are being done there, and I couldn’t phone the jobcentre because I could not find a phone number for them! So I phone the jobcentre enquiry line, to be told that all jobcentres don’t have phone numbers!! So after talking to the very helpful person on the Jobcentre enquiry number, I was told that someone would phone me from the Weymouth Jobcentre on a withheld number and I was to answer the call because they can’t leave me a message in case someone else accesses my phone messages and gets the information the Jobcentre would leave me!! LOL. Well, after receiving the call 2 hours later, I was told the reason why the online application did not work for me was because I was not a Jobcentre customer. i.e. I was not unemployed!! So I then had to wait for a phone call from USC to give me the date and time for the interview!
What a complete and utter joke! I couldn’t believe it, it was so bad, it was so funny! Also, a very close family friend who works at a jobcentre as an advisor has told me they are now targeted to get people into work experience, but not actual work!!
