Lyme Regis Woman Charged With Twelve Offences Including Burglary And Fraud

A woman has been charged and is due to appear in court in connection with reported fraud and burglary offences in West Dorset.

Dorset Police received a report on Sunday, 12 January 2025, that following a stay at a holiday home in the Lyme Regis area, the victim – a woman aged in her 50s – found their purse containing bank cards had been taken from their handbag and fraudulent transactions totalling £1250 had been made.

Then, on Wednesday, 30 April 2025, a report was received of an attempted burglary in the Mill Green area of Lyme Regis in which a woman tried to gain entry to a property by entering the garden and attempting to open the conservatory patio door.

Furthermore, on Sunday, 8 June 2025, it was alleged that a woman attended a property in Anning Road asking to speak to a man who did not live there, before she returned to the property at 3.15am the following day and tried to open the front and rear doors of the property.

Following detailed enquiries carried out by detectives, a 38-year-old woman from Lyme Regis was arrested and subsequently charged with 12 offences, including burglary and fraud. She has been remanded and is due to appear at Poole Magistrates Court on Friday, 13 June 2025.
