Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone for information to come forward following a report of an assault in Poole.

It was reported that at around 2.30pm on Friday 31 May 2024 a woman was assaulted in the car park of Sainsbury’s supermarket in Pitwines Close.

She sustained bruising to her face and collar bone as a result of the incident.

Following enquiries by officers, a 22-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman – both from Poole – were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. They have been released on police bail as further enquiries are carried out.

The two people arrested and the injured woman are reported to be known to each other.

Police Constable Tyler Mcwalter, of Poole police, said: “Our investigation into this incident remains ongoing and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.

“I would urge anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please come forward.”
