Man assaulted in Bridport

Officers investigating an assault in Bridport are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at around 3.15pm on Tuesday 24 January 2023 that two men had assaulted another man on the pathway behind Co-Op and Lidl near to the River Asker.

One of the suspects is described as being around five feet ten inches tall and of average build.

The victim did not sustain any serious injuries.

Police Constable Daniel Pidgeon, of Dorset Police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this incident, and I would urge any witnesses to please contact us.

“I would also ask any motorists with dashcam who were in the vicinity to please check their footage for anything that might assist our investigation.”
