Dorset Police received a report at 10.15pm on Wednesday 7 February 2024 of disturbance at an address in Stour View Close. It was further reported that a woman had been assaulted outside the address by a man who was known to her, with the incident continuing in the areas of Honeymead Lane and Field Close.
Officers attended the scene and the woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment to facial injuries.
A man aged in his 30s was arrested and was subsequently charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 10 February 2024 and is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 14 March 2024.
