Man found with serious head injuries on Esplanade in Weymouth

Officers investigating an incident where a man was found injured on the seafront in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 3.22am on Saturday 7 October 2023 from the ambulance service that a man aged in his 50s had been found with injuries on The Esplanade, near to Marks and Spencer.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious head injury.

Police Constable Josh Manning, of Weymouth police, said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident as we seek to establish how the man sustained his injuries and whether there was any third party involvement.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or has any information that might assist our enquiries, to please contact us.”
