Man from Poole and woman from Wareham arrested following burglary

A man has been charged and has appeared in court in connection with a report of an aggravated burglary in Poole.

Dorset Police received a report at 1.43pm on Tuesday 21 February 2023 of an aggravated burglary that occurred in Chaddesley Glen.

It was reported that two men forced their way into the property before threatening and assaulting the two occupants. The victims did not sustain any serious injuries. Jewellery and watches were allegedly stolen.

Following enquiries, a 40-year-old man, of no fixed abode, has been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm while committing a schedule one offence. He appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 16 May 2023 and is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 15 June 2023.

A 40-year-old man from Hertfordshire was previously arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and a 31-year-old Bournemouth man who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary. Both men remain on police bail.

Following enquiries, a 22-year-old Wareham woman has also now been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has also been released on police bail.
