Officers investigating a road traffic incident near Dorchester are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Dorset Police received a report at 9.44 pm on Friday, 7 August 2026, that a man had been found with injuries on the A35 Dorchester bypass between the Stadium Roundabout and the turning to Max Gate.
The man, aged in his 40s, was involved in an incident with a silver Ford Fiesta.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are believed to be serious but not life-threatening. His next of kin has been informed.
Police Constable Max Vallance, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out a detailed investigation into this incident and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch.
“I would also ask motorists who were travelling in the area around the relevant time to please review any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.”
