Man receives court summons following death of pedestrian in Poole

A man is due to appear in court in connection with a fatal road traffic collision in Poole.

At around 6pm on Sunday 28 February 2021 a collision occurred near to the Civic Centre on Commercial Road involving a black Yamaha motorcycle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a local man aged in his 70s, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries and very sadly died on the morning of Monday 29 March 2021.

The motorcyclist and his pillion passenger were both taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

Following a detailed investigation by Dorset Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team, a 27-year-old man from London has been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday 9 December 2022 for offences of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
