Officers investigating a serious assault on a man in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Dorset Police received a report that at around 5am on Sunday 10 November 2024 a man was assaulted by a group of men outside an address in London Road.
It was reported that the victim – a man aged in his 40s – was walking along the street with a woman when she attempted to climb through the window of an address, prompting four men to exit the property and assault the victim.
The victim then presented himself at hospital for treatment to a serious head injury and arm injury.
Police Constable Antony Frost, of Dorset Police, said: “This was a nasty assault where the victim required hospital treatment to a serious injury.
“We are continuing to investigate a number of lines of enquiry to identify those responsible for this assault and I would urge anyone with information relating to this incident to please contact us.
“I am keen to speak to the woman who was reportedly with the man when the assault took place and I would urge her to come forward should she read this appeal.
“From our enquiries, we believe there may have been some people in the area around the time of this assault and I would be keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.
“Furthermore, I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
