Man seriously assaulted in Poole bar

Officers investigating an assault at a bar in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 12am on Saturday 7 April 2024 a man was assaulted by an unknown man in Temple in Bournemouth Road.

It is reported that the victim – a man aged in his 20s from Wareham – attempted to intervene in an altercation between two groups and was subsequently assaulted.

He has sustained a dislocated shoulder and bruising to his face.

The offender is described as aged in his 20s, approximately six feet tall, and of a skinny build with short brown hair. He was wearing a red jumper and was in the bar with another man and woman.

Police Constable Joseph McKee, of Poole Police, said: “This incident has had a significant impact on the victim, and we are doing all we can to identify the offender.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the bar and saw what happened to please come forward.

“If you have information about who was responsible, please contact Dorset Police.”
