Man sought following assault of shop assistant in Poole

Officers are issuing a CCTV image of a man they are looking to identify as they investigate an assault in Poole.

At around 1.45pm on Saturday 1 June 2024 a man entered the Tesco supermarket in Poole Road where he argued with a member of the shop staff. It is reported that the man punched the victim – a man aged in his 40s – in the face.

The victim suffered facial injuries but did not need to go to hospital.

Police Community Support Investigator Chris Hardy, of Poole police, said: “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident and I am now in a position to issue a CCTV image of a man we wish to speak to.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding the identity of the man pictured to please contact us.”
