Officers investigating a report of an assault in Wareham are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify.
It was reported that between 5pm and 5.20pm on Saturday, 28 February 2026, a child accidentally sprayed a man with water in the male changing rooms of the Purbeck Sports Centre in Worgret Road.
The man reportedly responded by striking the child around the head.
Police Community Support Investigator Mike Cannings, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and I am now in a position to issue a CCTV image of a man we would like to identify.
“I would urge anyone with information regarding his identity to please contact us.”
