Man Wanted For Fraud In Ferndown

Officers investigating a fraud by false representation in Ferndown are issuing an image of a man they would like to identify.

At around 12.45pm on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, a man attended the address of the victim in Ferndown, having arranged to purchase an iPhone 17 Pro for £1,000.

While at the address, he showed the victim what appeared to be a bank transfer having been made on his phone and proceeded to leave with the phone.

However, no money arrived in the victim’s account. It is also believed the man gave a false address.

Police Community Support Investigator Adam Cleaver, of Dorset Police, said: “We are investigating this incident and have obtained an image of a man we would like to identify.

“I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250167131. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
