Man wanted for racist verbal assault on boy in Bournemouth

Officers are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a racially aggravated public order incident in Bournemouth.

At around 5pm on Friday 31 July 2020 a 13-year-old boy was spoken to by a man outside of the Premier shop on Holdenhurst Road. Following a short interaction, it is reported that the man followed the boy to outside Lidl and shouted racially aggravated abuse at him.

Police Constable Daniel Yates, of Bournemouth police, said: “This was a distressing incident for the boy and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to identify the man involved.

“As part of my investigation I have obtained a CCTV image of a man I would like to speak to.

“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.”
