Just back from Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner count in Poole. Delighted to see my friend Martyn Underhill (Keep Policing Independent) re-elected as PCC (the only independent candidate). I publicly backed Martyn’s campaign  in my role as mental health campaigner with my throughout Dorset.. I was honoured that Martyn asked me to be a Counting Agent, so I was able to not only oversee the count, but also witness the ward outcomes and then the final result. In the end , despite a second count (Martyn had a 10,000 lead at first count, but not 50%), it was a resounding victory (a further 10,000 majority on second choice votes). I look forward to working with Martyn again during this next term.
