Officers investigating an assault in Poole are appealing for anyone with information to come forward – with an image being issued of the suspect.

At around 4.20pm on Wednesday 4 November 2020 the victim – a 15-year-old boy – was walking along Ashley Road with his friends when one of them became involved in a verbal altercation at the junction with Pearson Avenue with two men who were in a Mercedes.

The victim also subsequently got involved in the altercation. It is reported that the men got out of the Mercedes and the driver assaulted the victim, before being challenged by a member of the public.

The men got back in the car and drove off after the incident.

The victim sustained a black eye and cuts to his hands that did not require hospital treatment.

Police Constable Joshua Alner, of Poole police, said: “We have carried out a number of initial enquiries into the incident, but these have so far not proved successful in identifying the men involved.

“As part of my investigation, I have obtained an image of the suspect and would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55200166370.
