Dorset Police received a report at 1.17pm on Sunday 27 June 2021 raising concern for the welfare of 35-year-old Roger Maurins. It is believed he left his home address in Chestnut Way earlier that day on a black mountain bike with blue accents.

Roger is described as white, six feet two inches tall and of large build with broad shoulders and dark shaved hair that is receding. He was last seen wearing a helmet and carrying a rucksack.

Chief Inspector Andy Bell, of Dorset Police, said: “We understand Roger has been upset recently and we are therefore keen to find him as soon as possible to ensure he is safe and well.

“Officers are carrying out a number of searches and I would urge anyone with information as to Roger’s whereabouts, or who sees a man matching the description given, to please contact police immediately.

“Finally, I would also like to make a direct plea to Roger if you see this – please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are as we all just want to ensure you are all right.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Roger’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 27:356.
