When I think of my mum I remember her whispering out the side of her mouth to me the phrase ‘chinnless wonder’. It would usually be in the presence of hugely important but ineffectual man – like a doctor or a priest..oh how we laughed. Today I think of the Royal Family and all of the Conservative Party as chinless wonders. So thank you mum for your very quiet, hugely ascerbic wit and your ever diligent summing up of others as gobshites and shitehawks.
